Parent founded in 2011, Hoboken Montessori School (“HMS”) is a non-sectarian early childhood school designed to nurture a child’s inherent love of learning. Guided by Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy, our program is taught by teachers who have been specially trained and certified in Montessori education.
Our mission is to nurture and grow the love of learning within each child. We use Montessori philosophy and methodology, as well as current best practices, to provide an education that gives children the essential learning skills they need to reach their fullest academic, social, and emotional potential.
In 2011, we opened Hoboken's first Montessori school at full capacity of 59 students located in the Garden Street Lofts condo building. In 2013, we expanded to our second location, at 1450 Washington @ Hudson Tea, nearly tripling enrollment capacity serving over 150 students.
Hoboken Montessori School has been full since inception and today we have educated over 1000 children since we started.
