HMS's year-round infant program provides a serene, nurturing space for infants to thrive and feel secure. Our experienced caregivers communicate in soothing tones, fostering an atmosphere of calmness. Embracing the Montessori philosophy, every aspect of our environment is carefully chosen to promote holistic development.

We invite you to explore how our Montessori Infant Program provides a foundation for lifelong learning, empowering your child to thrive in a loving and supportive community dedicated to their early years of development.

Dr. Maria Montessori believed that the child’s brain develops more rapidly during the period from birth to age 3 than at any other time, allowing more learning to take place than any other stage of development.

Young Infants
Our Montessori Infant Program features a carefully curated environment designed to promote early development. The room provides many opportunities for gross motor activities, with soft floor mats and bolsters where babies can freely move and develop skills such as rolling, sitting, scooting, crawling, and potentially walking. In our young infant environment, we prioritize:
-
Individual Schedules
-
Visual Stimulation
-
Tactile Exploration
-
Language Exposure
Older/Mobile Infants
We understand the unique needs of infants as they transition from the early stages of development into more active exploration and learning. Crawling and newly walking infants have the accessibility to explore low shelving with thoughtfully selected materials to support hands-on learning. The addition of gross motor equipment helps further skills such as climbing, pushing, and pulling. With our mobile infants, there is an additional emphasis on:
-
Practical Life Skills
-
Sensory Exploration
-
Motor Skills Development
-
Social Interaction
