Please share a little background about yourself:
I went to art school in Massachusetts and have a degree in photography and fine art. I worked as a professional photographer in the city for 6 years before becoming a teacher.
How did you discover Montessori?
I first discovered Montessori by chance. I was looking for a job teaching and I applied with HMS, one thing led to another and I like to say Montessori kind of found me!
What inspired you to become an educator? The children, I love working with them day in and day out. The joy they bring to the classroom makes this job so enjoyable.
What is your favorite area in the Montessori classroom? I love the Sensorial and Math areas. I find them to be so challenging and rewarding at the same time. Growing up I despised math and now relearning it the Montessori way I’ve grown to love it.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love to cook! You can find me in the kitchen most nights cooking up something delicious. I enjoy riding my Peloton bike and being active outdoors on the weekends with my husband. I also love entertaining and being with friends and family.
